St Andrew Church
Church of St. Andrew in Lviv has a complicated, but quite interesting story of creation. He was the first of its kind stone church, built in the early 17th century. Its architects - representatives of different styles of building. P. Roman favored Renaissance A. Boehmer - Baroque. But these two styles are so harmoniously that the Church of St. Andrew and still is considered a masterpiece of architecture in Lviv.
The appearance of the temple
On the facade of the church of saints adorn the sculpture Bernardine Order. On the second floor there are statues of Jesus Christ, Mother of God, the Apostles Peter and Andrew. Finishing part of the facade completes the refined Baroque tower. In the same style and presents the internal state of the church. It is decorated with sculptures of sixteen wooden altars, glittering gold. Rich painting artist Mazurkiewicz immortalized on the high ceilings of the temple.
