The history of the Church of St. Mary Magdalene
Church of St. Mary Magdalene was built back in 1846 and later consecrated by Archbishop Gabriel in honor of the Resurrection.

Fatal event for the church was the transfer of spa management in 1922. In honor of Mary Magdalene church was consecrated in 1997, two years after the return of the Odessa diocese. The temple was restored and painted its walls made the best painters of Odessa: S. Kravtsov, AV Rudakova and A. ore.

Church of St. Mary Magdalene was built by architect F. Morandi. It turned out really beautiful: a house in the Byzantine style image adorned the outside of the twelve apostles, and the church gate you could see the faces of the six prophets.
The entire architectural complex in its design resembled a temple icon. Inside the Church of St. Mary Magdalene was marble, deep church altar was set icon of the Resurrection, commissioned near the Bertini - famous Milanese painters. Unfortunately, the Church of St. Mary Magdalene not survived in its original form to this day.
