The Eugene Lazarenko Mineralogical Museum
Can you imagine crystal weighing more than 160 pounds? This giant of the Trans-Baikal deposited in the collection of the Mineralogical Museum at Lviv University . Here you can admire the large crystals of topaz, quartz and beryl from Volyn, as well as minerals from the Urals and Central Asia.
Lviv Museum of Mineralogy - is one of the oldest institutions of this kind in the Ukraine. To date, his collection of more than 14 thousand samples of minerals that is an excellent base for the training of students-geologists.
The museum is named after Academician Yevgeny Lazarenko - the famous Ukrainian scientist. He headed the Department of Mineralogy at the University, organized a scientific expedition.
