Botanical Garden of the Kharkiv National University

If you want to dilute your life with bright colors and a dip in the tropics, go to the Botanical Garden of Kharkiv National University. In greenhouses you will see amazing plants brought from the deserts, the humid tropics, subtropics. There are instances that arrived in Kharkov from Africa, Asia, America, New Zealand, Australia, the Mediterranean, China, Japan ... This garden is a member of the International Council of botanical gardens Conservation, therefore it has links with similar organizations in forty countries around the world!

In the botanical garden a rare collection of herbaceous and woody plants. You will meet more than 2 thousand species of flora from all over the world. Among the many instances of the plants that are listed in the Red Book of Ukraine and the European Red List.

The total area of this ancient Ukrainian research natural institution, founded in the early 19th century - more than 40 hectares. The Botanical Garden is divided into two sections of an area of 5.1 hectares and 36.8, located in different parts of the city.
