St Bartholomew Church, Drohobych
Gothic church appeared in the 15th century on the site of ancient princely castle. To keep defenses erected around the building and created a shaft pit, which was filled with water from numerous sources. Defensive structure reinforced with two towers - stone and wood. In consequence of the stone tower was rebuilt in the bell tower.
The church is also a model of the late Baroque period, as its interior was painted in the 18th century in this style. In the same period there was also a chapel. But the stained glass windows were made by famous masters in the 19th century. At the same time to the bell tower was built on the third tier, and arched windows.
Today gothic church Drohobycha known as Ascension Catholic Church or the Church of St. Bartholomew.
