East Yard in Kyiv
This tiny island is located near the intersection of streets and Pushkinskaya Proreznaja, in the courtyard of the Embassy of Turkmenistan. Few people of Kiev aware of its existence, but this is not surprising.
East patio if specially safely tucked away from the prying eyes of dull residential high-rises.
Residents of nearby houses call it a mini-mosque and say that on the idea of the patio was built to remind employees of the Embassy of the native land. There really is an atmosphere of the East.
Patio resembles a miniature copy of the Turkmen areas. The same white houses, gazebos and small terraces with rounded roofs. The architectural ensemble complements carved fence of white stone with holes in the shape of a dome. Especially beautiful mini-mosque in summer, when immersed in the greenery of the trees.
Entrance to the "East Yard" is closed, but in the warmer months, the people of Kiev gathered in a nearby yard and drinking tea admiring the splendid panorama. Mini mosque has a special energy, and this attracts tourists.
