Building of Pedagogical Museum

Teacher`s House on the street Vladimirovskaya in Kiev - a pre-revolutionary building, originally belonging to the world of education and science. Luxurious building got its fame in the early 20th century as a Pedagogical Museum Tsarevich Alexei. It was founded in 1901 and introduced the world`s first collection of student gatherings. It included the best of the school-age children, craft crafts, as well as examples of the most successful instances of applied art. After visiting the exhibition, you can get acquainted with the art works of young talents, painting, paintings, wooden figurines, sculptures and so on.

In addition to the exhibition halls, since 1912 in the building of the museum conducted teacher conferences, seminars, teachers, founded a reading room and library. In 1917, at the beginning of the museum of the famous Central Rada of Ukraine, the main work is considered to be a generalist, revealing the sovereignty of the state and the beginning of its independence.

Since the 1930s, the building became the home of Kiev teacher. Today, it is a huge complex of scientific and pedagogical meetings, dozens of diverse children and youth groups, including art and dance. Restored Pedagogical Museum, a museum of Ukrainian revolution of the 1920s.

The architect of the building was a talented kievlyanin P. Aleshin, who gave the building style of the burgeoning while modernism. A three-storey complex has a semicircular facade and glass dome covering the main conference hall. Nearby you can take a look at the Kiev zoo or central Khreschatyk .
