Sirotkin house

Sirotkin house - one of the most beautiful buildings in Kiev . Local also called "Leipzig", in honor previously housed here at. House can be found at one of the oldest streets - Vladimir. Thanks to former rental house she acquires a certain charm and chic. In the early 20th century it was the highest building in the city.

Merchant Alexander Sirotkin wanted to build the most elegant building in the entire city, so the house is designed in the spirit of the Renaissance, decorated with stucco and extraordinary sculptures all around. It was a favorite place of Kiev aristocracy. On the ground floor there is a well-known throughout the city cafe "Marquis", which even mentions Mikhail Bulgakov in his novel "The White Guard". Other rooms were rented - often well-known personalities.

Sirotkin house delights passers by its luxury and grandeur. Looking at it, you find yourself mentally in aristocratic times when on the streets traveled coach, not a Mercedes; ladies wore long dresses to the floor, not the super-mini.
