St. Panteleimon Monastery
Kiev - a unique historical center of Ukraine, not only in the central part of the main attractions, and rich spiritual shrines outskirts of the city. One of these shrines - St. Panteleimon nunnery.
Initially, in 1802 on the site of the monastery was founded skit- place where hermits could retire with God. Later built the Church of St. Vladimir, and then three more new temple. During the revolution, all the churches were destroyed or converted, and the monastery was closed.
After Ukraine gained independence remains of the cathedral and the nearby area were again returned to the church. Since then, St. Panteleimon monastery begins a new life. This place again acquired the status of a monastery at the Pokrovsky monastery , until the early 2000s, the monastery once again became independent. Panteleimon restored cathedral church in honor of the Archangel Michael (only for the sisters of the monastery), nursing corps.
The monastery is situated around a large park, on the territory of which the three healing springs - St. Panteleimon, St. Michael and St. Nicholas, in which anyone can dial the healing water.
