House Leszczynski

When Zaporozhye called another district city of Aleksandrovsk, it was common tenement houses in which you can rent a house. One such building was the home of Leszczynski - a beautiful three-storey building, very well preserved to the present day.

History of the House Leszczynski

The building was designed by an unknown architect and built approximately in 1902. The owner of the house - Jacob Leszczynski - decided to approach the issue more and bigger as a result of a three-story house was built, whereas usually apartment buildings have two floors. The house Leszczynski had a reputation of being one of the best if not the best. At various times, lived here are outstanding representatives of their time as Nestor Makhno and Leonid Utesov. Last here even he met his future wife. Hair salon in the house of his father kept jazzman and composer Alexander Tsfasman - songwriter "Failure date" and "Burnt by the Sun".

Today, the mansion is located in Zaporozhye Leszczynski candy store "chocolate shop", formerly bore the name "Squirrel".
