Blue Lake, Oleshnya

Blue Lakes are located in the Chernihiv region, near the village of Oleshnya Repkinsky area. The area`s largest lake is about 25 hectares. The maximum depth is 20 meters.

History of Blue Lakes

Initially, in the village of Oleshnya mined quartz sand quality (such sand used for glass). Over time, we formed a number of fairly large sand quarries. Flooded career and received the name "Blue Lake".

The famous Blue Lake

The first thing that strikes visitors - is unusually clear azure water, more like a sea. The blue color of the water due to the fact that the bottom of the lake is still lying quartz sand. Pine Forest, which is surrounded by blue lakes, provides a clean, oxygen-enriched air.

In an effort to relax on the shores of crystal clear lakes and heal your body healthy water and fresh air, Blue lakes annually attracts more than 250,000 tourists. People come here not only from different regions of Ukraine, but also with Russia, Poland and Belarus.

Blue Lake in Oleshnya can be visited any time of the year. In these places you can find the rich hunting grounds, or go fishing.

Beaches Blue Lakes

Due to the large influx of tourists, it would seem, a huge beach area of ​​the Blue Lakes is often lacking.

In the big lake, which has a shape of a heart , there are two beach areas. One is a conventional beach area, and the second is considered VIP area. Before entering it is a barrier. On the territory of the VIP area you can find a comfortable log cabins, modern tent camp, a sports ground, water attractions, grill bars and other entertainment venues.

Oleshnya is 30 km from the district center Repki. It can be reached by bus from Kiev and Chernigov.
