Ternopil Regional Museum
Ternopil Regional Museum has been operating for a century. In 1913, when the museum first opened its doors to visitors, it was called Podolsky and totaled 4 divisions. Today, the number of exhibits in it exceeds 160 thousand copies.
The museum is open throughout the Second World War, but suffered at the hands of the invaders. In 1968, the museum was closed and did not function for almost 20 years, and after he was transferred to a specially constructed building for him.
The expositions of the museum you can trace the history of the Ternopil edge since the 10th century to the present day. Among the exhibits there are collections of ceramics, weapons and icons. Of particular interest are four sculptures of the great master I. Pinzel that decorated the side altar of the Church of the Intercession .
In 4 exhibition halls are 3 permanent exhibits and one that varies monthly. Each year, the museum comes about 200 thousand Ukrainian visitors and foreign tourists.
