Church of the Ascension, Vyshnivets
Ascension castle church, built in 1530, was originally conceived as a generic tomb princes Vyshnevetsky. Next to it was a small cemetery. Initiated the construction of the temple was Prince Ivan Vishnevetskii. The temple is in the shape of the ship and has excellent acoustics. Inside are religious figures by craftsmen.
In 1872-1873 gg. here made a thorough overhaul. Cast a new bell tower, gilded iconostasis. Special pride - two icons of the Blessed Virgin Mary, performed in the ancient and Byzantine style church donated princes Vishnevetskaya. In the dungeons of the temple to rest by about 20 members of the genus Vyshnevetsky.
During the fight with the Orthodox Church of the Ascension Church remained the only Orthodox church in the whole district. In 1963 the church was closed, after which she was subjected to robbery. It was only after 26 years it returned to the Orthodox Church. Now it belongs to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Kiev Patriarchate.
