Church of St. Anthony in Zbarazh built on the territory of the Bernardine monastery, which was founded by Prince Zbarazhsky in 1627 Construction of a large stone church in the monastery was carried out at approximately 1750-1755 years, the exact date of completion is not known for certain.

Most large-scale destruction of the church falls on 1788, when it suddenly started a fire. Restoration work in the church were held during 1790-1795 years. As a result, the interior of the building and part of its facade have been changed. As such, the church has survived to the present day.

The temple was built in the Renaissance style evidenced forms of ancient architecture. The church consists of 2 towers of the same size and height, and the presence of semi-circular arches and niches brings him closer to the buildings of Roman architecture.

During the Soviet era, the church, as well as the monastery itself, did not work. Buildings used for various household purposes, and some elements of the facade and all were dismantled or destroyed. Since 1994, the building of the church periodically conduct their worship Franciscan monks.

To date, the temple is a national architectural monument and is open to public access.
