Carmelite Monastery, Vishnevets

Carmelite Monastery, located in the village Vishnevets ,   is one of the models of the monastery Catholic Order,   who follow the faith of the monks, hermits with Mr. Carmel. The monastery was built in the 1640s. It is located on the street Castle. With the participation of Vyshnevetsky was built and   Baroque church   (1645).

During the attack of the Cossack troops led by M. Krivonos, the monastery was badly damaged. Later it was restored, but in 1832 the Carmelite monastery doors closed again. In Soviet times, the church, which had been buried in the Catholic faith professed members of the genus Vyshnevetsky, was blown up.

Now the monastery destroyed. By inspection available majestic gates and fencing dilapidated cell. Not far from the monastery is the palace Vyshnevetsky .
