Monument to Rosych

Rosich Monument - one of the historic architectural values ​​of Cherkasy region. Was erected in 1982 on the island of Green, which is 500 meters up from the dam Korsun-Shevchenko HPS . Therefore, it is impossible to go on dry land, there is a possibility only by boat.

Statue dedicated to the hero of folk tales and legends Rosich. The monument stands fully prepared: in mail, wearing a helmet with a spear in his right hand and looks into the distance, keeping a vigilant eye for terrain and protecting it. This pedestal was erected thanks to the great sculptor and architect E. and M. Kuntsevich Mikitenko. Statue is one of the largest in Ukraine. It attracts the views and interests of tourists, showing his power, strength, and carries the spirit of history.

According to legends, the monument is a symbol of the emergence ROSICh Slavic state of Kievan Rus` and the people of Rus (ROSICh). Monument perfectly preserved and perfectly visible from all sides. Getting in Cherkasy region, tourists can not inspect this attraction.
