Synagogue in Bolshovtsah

Synagogue in Bolshovtsah

Bolshovtsy The village is first mentioned in documents in 1426. The settlement is on a hill in the Galicia region.

At the heart of the village is a curious brick two-storey building of the synagogue. Its construction was completed in the 18th century, and at the junction of 19-20 centuries, the building underwent expansion.

The synagogue is a solemn building to the main entrance, decorated with a colonnade, supporting a small terrace. The windows of the first floor are formed as arches.

In the past, services were held in the synagogue, and today houses the House of Culture. In the village there are two synagogues, but they were completely destroyed.

What to see near the synagogue
