Michael Church, Upper Verbizh
The first mention of the village of Upper Verbizh in manuscript dates from the 14th century, but people lived here in the 10th century BC, as evidenced by excavations archaeologist Bogdan Tomenchuka. In 1987, he discovered the remains of Gáva culture not far from the church.
On the left bank of the flap is the main attraction of the village - the Church of the Archangel Michael. Church built in 1861 of wood, pre-disassembled older temple.
Today the roof of the church and bell tower are covered with metal, and the walls are lined with a plastic lining. On the one hand, it helps to save the church, on the other - deprives its original charm. Michael Church belongs to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
Nearby is the village cemetery and the cross mounted on the occasion of the cancellation panschiny.
