Capuchin monastery, Lyubeshov

Capuchin monastery, Lyubeshov

The share of the Capuchin Convent took many difficulties. The building is mortgaged to money then owner Lyubeshov - Czarnecki, began to build back in 1761. Hallowed it only 25 years later. Philanthropist, started building, did not live to see this day - it was buried in the walls of the monastery under construction.

Last long abode could not. After 40 years, the monastery was burned. The new Russian government did not give the nod to his recovery. Only when Lyubeshov again became part of Poland, began to restore the monastery complex. The new monastery was rebuilt, but the government changed again.

In the Soviet Union there was no place of religious buildings. Premises did not destroy, but for many years a cult building was used for other purposes. However, he managed to remain good. Today the former monastery was named the parish church of Saints Cyril and Methodius and is considered an architectural monument.
