Holy Assumption Church, Tatarbunary
The city Tatarbunary Odessa region has a beautiful church with the arrival of two centuries. Holy Assumption Church dates from the 1877 year of construction, and the place where it stands, and was formerly a wooden church. The first sanctuary was built in 1814, the same year the parish was formed.
Stone temple is made in the shape of a cross, the bell tower is equipped with a half-dozen bells, some of which was taken off the wooden church. Weight most of them reaches 44 pounds. The external decoration of the church admire the sky-blue walls and golden domes.
Holy Assumption Church operated even during the Soviet persecution. He was always open, unlike many other churches. In the old days when the church is a school and an orphanage for destitute. In the late 80-ies of the last century, the church was officially recognized, and in 1991 registered its charter.
