Monument Koenig, Trostianets

Instead chocolate factory "Mondeliz" in Trostyanets sitting on a bench with a hat and a cane in the hands of a bronze Ye Leopold Koenig.

Historically it happened that   Trostyanets,   passing from hand to hand, in 1868 became the property of the entrepreneur LE Koenig. He was a man of active and undertook modernization of Prince Golitsyn built a sugar factory. Koenig have been a lot of land, he used it for growing horses, as he had a sugar cane plantation. Then Koenig built a refinery, even a little later founded the distillery. After 6 years, the entrepreneur opened the mill in 1908 and a parquet factory. All this has led to the growth of industry in the city. The region`s population has increased, the quality of life increased significantly.

He died energetic entrepreneur in 1903 after 83 year of life. And in 2010, the grateful   residents put a monument to him near the entrance of his favorite child   - Sugar refinery. Today it makes chocolate.
