Museum of the National Mining University

On the basis of the National Mining University in Dnepropetrovsk, the museum of the history of the university. It is located in the main building of the university. The museum was opened in October 1974. In 2001, the Academic Council of the Novosibirsk State University conferred on him the name of the famous scientist and leader of our region Alexandra Paul.

The exposition of the Museum of the National Mining University

Museum of the National Mining University can be called one of the greatest museums in the history of higher education institutions in Dnepropetrovsk. It has an area of ​​about 470 square meters. Funds of the museum there are about 13 000 original exhibits, of which only about 1,500 objects presented in a new exhibition.

The exhibits are divided into six thematic exhibitions:

1. The first section is devoted to the history of Yekaterinoslav Higher Mining School which arose on the basis of the National Mining University, on its activities, the library and the first graduate students.
2. The second section of the exhibition exhibits that span the history of the museum from 1912 to 1917.
3. The third section - the history of the University of 20-30s. It was at this period is the maximum amount of change and innovation. It was during this period of training period is reduced to 3 years, for the first time in educational institutions accepted female students, as well as many other positive and not so positive historical events.
4. The fourth section is completely sanctifies history of the university in the Great Patriotic War.
5. The fifth section - history of restoration institute in the 50s of the 20th century. Also here are collected materials about the outstanding graduates, as well as researchers and university Soviet relations with foreign universities.
6. The final sixth section tells about the life of the University in the years of independent Ukraine.
