Obelisk and Eternal Flame, Chernigov

In memory of the events of the Great Patriotic War and the exploits of those who committed the Soviet soldiers, in many cities of Ukraine the obelisk and eternal flame burns. One of these sites is located in Boldin mountains in Chernigov .

History of the monument

This memorial obelisk appeared in Chernigov in 1967. But by the 40th anniversary of Victory complex has been completely renovated. In 1985 on the site of the graves of unknown soldiers appeared eternal flame. Since then, he serves as the memory of those killed on the Ukrainian fronts.

At the same time, the 20-meter obelisk was installed. It has a triangular shape and is made of granite. Near the obelisk is Stella. They depict important historic victories of different eras. Here you can see a lot of interesting events in the history of Ukraine.
