Church of the Nativity, Kamenka-Dnieper
Church of the Nativity is located in Kamenka-Dnieper Zaporozhye region. It is assumed that with this church and originates a city located near the Kakhovka Reservoir. The temple is very beautiful and the oldest in the city. There`s even celebrate the feast day of the town on the day of Nativity of the Virgin, but not in the day of liberation from Nazi invaders.
Story of the Nativity
More recently, it became known that the documents for 1910 there is a description of the Church of the Blessed Virgin. The height of the church without a dome reaches 18 meters in a classic iconostasis gate. Temple was able to survive the German occupation and persecution of Soviet power. Although, when the Germans retreated from the city, the church suffered minor damage, namely - was destroyed bell tower and dome of the temple. However, the priest Oleg, who is conducting the service, says that one to him for confession came an old man, and admitted that the bell tower does not undermine the Nazis, and local residents, and most of all, on the orders of the party leadership. All they have laid the blame on the Nazis. But the theory of the fascists do not believe everything, as in the days of their occupation of the city was located in the temple of their hospital.
Today, the temple of acting, it held all the services, and in parallel undergoing restoration. It has long been rebuilt and the bell tower, its appearance has changed a bit and does not correspond to the original, but in general the temple took its original appearance.

From the train station Zaporozhye to Kamenka-Dnieper can drive on the highway M18 and P37. Before the church can be reached by public transport or private car. The distance from Zaporizhzhya to the city is nearly 130 km.
