House Shchastny
Exactly the 18th century is not much like a modern city. So, street Shchastny not exist, rather it was a Crooked Lane. Pushkinskaya Street and Grand Berdichev called Green and Ukrainian.
History of the House Shchastny
In the early 19th century, one of the estates in Krivoy lane became the property of a noble family Shchastny. Rod took its origin from the Cossack. Since 1992, Lane became known by the name of the former owners of the estate.
In 1846 the estate was born MM Shchastny, which was destined to become a general. And later his son Alex, who became an admiral and martyred. The family lived in Zhitomir general house. But time passed, and the general erected a new stone house in one floor height. In the 90 years of the 19th century and was replaced by a two-storey. During Soviet times, the building housed residential apartments of local officers. In the mid-60s last century, the building made hotel. Today the house is a military prosecutor`s office. The building is an architectural monument.
The building is well preserved, remained intact on the front balcony. It was eliminated one of the entrances to the building and brick fence surrounds the house.
In 2010, after much wrangling with disgruntled citizens at home it was a memorial plaque.
