Memorial to the victims of fascism in the Vladimir-Volyn - a complex of several sculptures dedicated to the victims to local residents during the German occupation of the 1940s. Symbolic monuments depict the innocent victims of severe regime that ever entered the history of the country as one of the most tragic.
History of the memorial
Memorial to the Victims of Fascism was built in 1969 on the site of a Nazi concentration camp called "Oflag-365." A large area of the camp allowed the prisoners to contain several thousand people at a time. Basically, the concentration camp was filled with Soviet military officers who served in the Red Army, as well as local residents. The reason for the detention could be any slander or accusation neighbors.
Oppressive laws camp did not allow release of prisoners. In total during its existence in the Vladimir-Volyn it was shot more than 50 thousand people.
In one of the sculptures depicts a teenager who is trying to get to freedom through the metal fence of the concentration camp.
