The Huliai Pole Local History Museum

Gulyaypole - tough village among fields of Zaporozhye region. It is the birthplace of the movement of anarchists time of the October Revolution, the place around which was formed and developed the Ukrainian Insurgent Army. The principal figure made of Nestor Makhno - known revolutionary, the memory of which the walls of local lore museum store and in our days.

Gulyaypole located far from the cities at a distance of about 100 km from the highway Kharkiv - Simferopol , so you can either get here by bus, or else your own car along the vast fields planted with sunflowers and corn bread.

Is a museum in 1960 by the decision of the Board of Huliaipole Raion. For the museum was given a historic building where once was the bank "Mutual Credit Society", which is   a unique monument of architecture of the early 20th century. The exposition of the museum devoted to the history Gulyai-Pole edge since the days of the first settlement of primitive people here to the present day. Most of the materials exposure   devoted Nestor Makhno. All in the museum holds about 17 thousand. Exhibits. Courtyard of the museum is decorated with a cart monument, which fought Makhno.

The museum is very popular not only among Ukrainian tourists but also the inhabitants of Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain. Only   about 10 thousand. visitors annually is in the museum. In Gulyaypole annually hosts a number of festivals, which every year attract more and more tourists from different countries.
