The Alexander Pushkin Monument
Monument to the great poet Alexander Pushkin was opened in Dnipropetrovsk in 1901. Bronze bust on a granite pedestal was erected in prerevolutionary Yekaterynoslav town where the poet stayed a while in exile. In 1999, the monument reopened after reconstruction. On the pedestal bears the inscription "Pushkin in 1901" and the lines belonging to the poet: "How long will I have the kind people that I`m feeling good lyre awakened."
