Pokrovska Church, Romashky

Church of the Intercession in the village of Daisies is a huge temple complex, built in the mid 19th century. The church is acting and belongs to the Orthodox Patriarchate.

It was erected in 1843 through generous donations from wealthy landowner. Ms. Mills has allocated huge funds for the construction of the temple, which even today is included in the list of the most important churches in Ukraine and is a National Historic Landmark.

The whole complex of the Intercession Church remained unchanged, despite the fact that it was restored many times, especially in the post-war period. The significance of the temple in the daisy was stressed in the Soviet period - artists have made great efforts to fully restore the building of the temple to worship usual.

Exterior Protection Church is full majesty and rigor. Look impossible to separate from the front columns, domes and powerful high towers with bell towers. The style of architecture is selected in the spirit of classicism with the traditional Orthodox churches décor. The church has two chapels, which is not often found in village churches. They are named in honor of St. Nicholas and Anthony of the Caves. Around the temple is a low fence with a neat garden, which in summer is filled with aromas of blooming flower beds.
