Museum Testament Shevchenko (Historical)

April 18, 2008 in the former home of Pereyaslav doctor AA Kozachkovskogo Museum was opened Testament T. Shevchenko.

Why the museum was named? It was in this house Taras Shevchenko in 1845 wrote his "Zapovіt." The museum consists of several rooms. Basically, presented the exhibition acquaint visitors with the history of Pereyaslav times writer: the era of the Cossacks, serfdom and the struggle for freedom. All exhibits are arranged in chronological order. Considering some of the collection, there is a feeling that come to life in front of you works of Taras Shevchenko. The museum has a room where you can get better acquainted with the life of the famous writer. The museum`s exhibits tell about why such facts, which nowhere else know.

In the museum a collection of Polish, Russian and Ukrainian weapons of the 17th century. Every visitor will find something interesting for yourself. The museum is always a lot of visitors. Museum staff conduct interesting and informative tour. This is one of the best historical museums in the country. Museum Testament Shevchenko is open from 9:00 to 17:00, except on Sundays.
