Church of St. Paraskevi, young hog
Church of St. Paraskevi in the village Veprik Kiev region is interesting sights. It was erected in 1856 and was active for worship for half a century. After the Second World War with the advent of the Soviet period, the building was razed to the ground.
Restoration work Sagrada Paraskeva began only in the 1990s. Unusual restoration led by surviving in the local archives drawings. From the previous structure survived a foundation on it today, an ancient temple built. Modern building, as well as the construction of the 19th century, completely made of wood. Retained the appearance of the facade, the height of the dome and the amount of space inside. The interior is made in the style of a traditional decoration village churches of the period.
In 1920 the parish church was led by the famous Stetsenko - the talented Ukrainian composer, decided at the end of his career to go into church life and to become a priest in the temple Veprikovskom.
