Monument to Taras Bulba, Keleberda

Taras Bulba - eponymous hero works of Nikolai Gogol.   No wonder this character was chosen as a monument,   erected on the 200th anniversary of his birthday   in Keleberda . Nearby is the monument to the soldiers who died during the crossing of the Dnieper in 1943.

Taras Bulba, sitting on a high rocky ledge, holding the tube in his mouth and looks thoughtfully at the wide expanse of the Dnieper. If he remembers the events of those days. Nearby there is a Cossack gun, and next to it a horse grazing, as symbols of strength and will of the Cossack people.   The authors of this sculpture became Chepelyk V. and his son.   Not far from the monument is the Holy Transfiguration Church, built in 2005.
