Exaltation of the Cross Church, Kremenets

Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross   located in the central part of the city   Kremenets , which is located 70 kilometers from the   Ternopil . The construction of the temple belongs to the years 1887-1889.   The peculiarity of this wooden church is its "Volyn" style   and that it was   built without a single nail. During the fire in September 1942, the church miraculously managed to survive. According to witnesses, the fire spread from the burning of the Jewish ghetto and completely destroyed the other wooden buildings.

Solemn in terms of design and decorate the church without comely natural surroundings. Bright blue embossed wall shrines, white frame and bars on the windows, carved wooden elements and the very location of the temple on the hill give even more majestic view.

Exaltation of the Cross Church - one of the few wooden objects of the country, survived until our days. The temple belongs to the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church. Church adjacent to the Epiphany   monastery .
