Manor Orenshtayna (Storozhynets arboretum)
Storozhynets arboretum - the largest park of Chernivtsi region, included in the list of natural monuments of national importance. The complex consists of parks and estates Orenstein. He is a real pride for all Storozhinets and clearest example of landscape art for the entire region.
The history of the estate and Orenstein Storozhynets Park
The park was founded by representatives of the richest kind Flonderov in the late 19th century. Manor came a little later, in 1880, and was a two-storey palace, decorated with original fine finished watchtower and a balcony on the second floor of the house.
However, the family has lived here for long, at the beginning of the 20th century manor house, and the landlord sold patron Orenstein. It was during this period begins blossoming park. Orenstein makes the existing forest in the enchanting park. It was founded in 1912 and covers an area of about 17.5 hectares. The park was planted with rare and unique species of trees and shrubs.
In 1945, in the history of the park comes another fatal event then starts acting school - Forest College. The estate is the administration and on the basis of the park, students start practical training.
