Church of St. John Kukilnyky
Sight of a small village of puppeteers that in Ivano-Frankivsk region, is an old abandoned church named St. John`s - one of the 12 apostles, the author of the Gospel of John and the Book of tkroveny three letters included in the New Testament.
The question of the date of construction of the temple is still unanswered. Some sources call 1732 inception date of the church, while others - in 1722. Religious buildings appeared because cash investments Archbishop J. Skarbenka from Lvov and the famous commander N. Potocki.
The architecture of the church belongs to the baroque style, the main feature of which is the massive, monumental sizes. Huge thick walls are decorated with large windows with bars, duplicate pilasters, relief ridges, stretching along the entire building, and the construction of a roof shaped. The facade contains an arched entrance and two statues. Earlier in the church kept the miraculous cross brought here from Kukolnitskogo castle.
After World War II in 1945 the church was closed. Left unattended, landmark gradually fell into decay. Until today, the church is neglected and significantly disrupted.
