Nicholas Church, Vasylkiv
A small town in the Kiev region boasts an old church with an amazing carved iconostasis and the source of which is in full swing near the temple.
Nicholas Church was built in the late 18th century. It is noteworthy that made it to the ship`s savings priest John Kolosovsky. Thirty years he saved his salary, content provision, which received while serving in the Navy. Then take your earnings gold and donated for the construction of the temple, and wished to dedicate it to his patron - St. Nicholas.
The church building has incorporated just two styles - klassitsi gp and Baroque. Masters, engaged the interior of the temple, created a wonderful iconostasis. In the late 19th century, the interior was decorated with paintings. The church operated for over a century, and only in the Soviet times it was closed. Worship resumed during the time of Nazi occupation.
Today the temple is running again, and refers to the Moscow Patriarchate. Near the church built a small chapel, which has a source, open the Holy Theodosius.
