Old Believer Church of the Intercession
Old Believers Church of the Intercession is located in Kealia in the Odessa region. This temple is the largest Old Believer in its territory. In 1846 was built the first Church of the Intercession. It is made from a material called cob. It was a combination of clay bricks with the batch of straw, which dries in the sun. This material gave the church an unusual appearance. Soon began to form around the temple area of the Old Believers. More than half a century in this old building could no longer accommodate many people. In the years 1912-1916 around the temple began to build a new Old Believer church, and the old church was demolished.
A significant role in the construction of the Intercession Church and Jewish merchants played. In 1929-30-ies near it was built a large three-storey bell tower. Her height was 51 meters. Fence on all sides surrounding the temple, it was only in the 1953-1954 years.
