Trinity Church, Pustovoytovka

The village Pustovoytovka in Sumy region is Trinity Church, which was founded back in 1773.   The costs of building a new church took over Peter Kalnyshevsky   - The last chieftain glorious Zaporizhzhya Sich. Trinity Church was known not only in Ukraine, but also abroad. This is evidenced by the printed materials in various newspapers and magazines of the time, dating back to 1892 and 1901 years.

Trinity Church three-tiered, has three log, and its layout consists of several hexagons. External parts of the wooden structure of the graceful and majestic at the same time. A detailed study of the building of the temple in 1929, was conducted by Professor S. Taranushenko.

At the end of the Great Patriotic War Trinity church was turned into a club, and a little later in the warehouse for storage of various provisions. In the 80s of the last century Trinity church turned into a real ruins and was on the verge of destruction.

Radical reconstruction of the temple took place only in 2007. All work is carried out in accordance with the traditions of Ukrainian folk architecture and were confined to the creation of the memorial P. Kalnyshevsky.
