Mountain Zolotukha

Mountain Zolotukha is around Romney in Sumy region. This place is famous for the fact that its territory was found first in Ukraine oil. The surrounding mountains, as are mining deposits, rich in minerals. Beautiful nature makes the mountain scenic spot.

In the vicinity of scrofula is a chapel erected in the name of the martyrs St. Cyril, who died in this place September 15, 1918 at the hands of the Bolsheviks. They shot four laymen and bishop Varsonofy and Ferapontov abbess of the monastery of St. Seraphim.

Through the efforts of search engines in summer 2000 on Mount scrofula been excavated, the purpose of which is to search for the remains of the martyrs. A year later attempts to continue. Unfortunately, the excavations were unsuccessful.
