The complex of buildings of the consistory, Radomishl
The complex of buildings located in the consistory Radomishl Zhytomyr region. The building is a very old building and now belongs to the monuments. Construction of buildings consistory began in 1746. While the Metropolitan of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church was Sheptytsky. It was he who chose the city as a residence Radomishl Metropolitan and at the same time made it the center of the Diocese of Kiev .
On the territory of the Consistory acted different places and institutions. It was located Seminary, courts and administrative bodies, as well as leadership of the diocese. In addition, the Radomyshl held various church meetings synods. In such events it attracts a huge number of delegations representing different diocese. This happened until 1795. Starting this year, the consistory has ceased to operate. During the Soviet era the building housed a comprehensive school №5.
Before our time out of all of the buildings are preserved only Consistory Chamber archdiocese, but in Soviet times, they were rebuilt. On school grounds stands a water tower Radomyshl. It is built in 1898. The main architect of this building became K. Ensh. Today it is considered the unofficial symbol of the city Radomyshl, and refers to the local architectural monuments. Tourists often come to see this attraction.
