The history of the Church of St. Prince Vladimir

In the Dnepropetrovsk diocese for a long time there was no church bearing the name of St. Vladimir, who brought to Russia the Orthodox faith. But the community was organized with the blessing of Bishop Irinej educator in the name of Russia, which registered 3 June 1997. Quite a short period in a former kindergarten equipped with a temporary temple where 30 May 1999 on the day of the Holy Trinity was the first Divine Liturgy. Over time, with the growth of the community was built the main temple. According to experts at the site before the building was located city cemetery, which is indicated on the map of the area in 1915. Before the revolution in each such cemetery is the chapel or temple. On this basis, we can conclude that this place once stood a temple. It was destroyed in 1920, evidenced by the edge dug brick, every brick of which branded the word "Ekaterynoslavsky brick factory in 1876".

Temple today

Every Sunday the study of the law of God, liturgy, dogma, also held classes in church singing, hagiography, painting eggs. Icons store put a good selection of Orthodox literature. Parishioners mostly young people, but often change.
