Volnjansky waterfall Derezovka

In the eastern part of the village Derezovka Zaporozhye region, on the river Volnyanke, at the edge of the dam, is Volnjansky waterfall. The river was named Volnyansk city, near which flows and is a tributary of the Samara River, which flows into the Dnieper.

The height of the artificial waterfall is 4.5 meters. However, the local old-timers say that there was a time when the waterfall was higher by 2.5 meters and the water jet falling more powerful. It arose as a result of erecting the dam. The material for its construction served as natural stone, so it is very difficult to distinguish from the natural waterfall.

Slightly lower down the river, there is another waterfall with a height of 1 meter. And below you can see a small suspension bridge. In a small distance from the dam are several quarries.

How to get to the waterfall in Derezovke Volnyansk

Tourists move around by public transport, you should get to Volnyansk. To the village of Zaporozhye go train, bus number 7 and 7b, as well as numerous buses pass. You can also go to the village of Mikhaylovka, where the bus goes. Then you have to walk.

Travelers have their own transport should use the route Moscow - Simferopol. On reaching the village of Mikhaylovka, it is necessary to pass through its center and move the dirt surface almost to the waterfall.
