National History Museum, Old Vyzhevka
Starovyzhevskiy museum is located in the northern part of Volyn, in the village of Old Vyzhevka . Its main objective is to study the history of Volyn region, the search for historical and storage, presentation and dissemination of information to the public.

The museum has in its funds over 3,700 items. More than a third of them on display in the exhibition halls. The reserve fund consists of materials that are not owned by the museum and used temporarily. They represent various objects of historical, archaeological and cultural heritage on the territory of Volyn.
Today, there are the following sections:
- Nature Photo oldest trees (oak, black birch), stuffed animals (birds, foxes, goats).
- Ethnographic People`s tools (winnower 20th century loom, spinning machine), embroidery, wooden barrels.
- "From the history of the fire case": includes exhibits of Ukrainian and Polish descent (water pump 19th century, fire ammunition, helmets, clothing, photographs).
- Room "Liberator of the Fatherland": there are materials of the Second World War (harnesses, helmets, ammunition, soldier dishes, pictures).
- "History Starovyzhivschyny": it contains structured and materials from excavations (ax of flint knives, crosses, rings, pottery, photographs of local residents).
- Room crafts, display exhibits of labor.
History museum
Regional Museum in the Old Vyzhivtsi was created January 9, 1992. For room was allocated to the oldest house in the village, the construction of which 1944-1945 years and originally was used as a post office. The building is built of wood, decorated inside with clay. Later the walls were walled brick. At the beginning of his exposition was located in two rooms. These were exhibits on nature and local history department.
In 1993, there was simply regional workshop for the students of the local school. They were carried out under the supervision of experienced scientists, excavations near the village. Discovered items were transferred to the museum.
How to get there
By Vyzhevka old town can be reached by bus. They depart daily from Lutsk and Kovel.
By car to travel from Lutsk on the way through M19 Kovel , and near the village Butsyn turn left to the village of Stara Vyzhevka, following the road signs.
