Manor Miklashevsky, Volokitina

Manor Miklashevsky in Volokytyne was one of the most beautiful buildings in Ukraine. It is rightly considered the pearl of landscape architecture and construction of the country. Manor landowner A. Miklashevsky was a complex of buildings of domestic, industrial, residential and religious purposes.

It is unlikely to have analogues among the "Noble Nest" last century. But like any other abandoned construction of the 19th century, it did not spare the time. Cultural monuments did not survive the events of October and was destroyed.

History of the estate

After the death of the owner of the estate Miklashevsky family estate with a beautiful house and the park became a space for the creative plans for his grandson - Andrei Mikhailovich Miklashevsky.

It is the great-grandson lives building found its harmonic completeness. Here he founded known throughout Russia manufacture, bell tower built in the Gothic Revival style and was u1857 wonderful church, even where, according to the architectural historian V. Vecherskoho was not anywhere in Ukraine.

After the death of Andrew Miklashevsky house served as a poorhouse for some time, and in our time period was used as a school. This is a great example of architecture "brick style" with interesting additions decorative ceramics, designed by architect unknown and skillfully implemented craftsmen-masons in the late 19th century.

At 500 meters from the house is a park and walkway construction Volokytyna most famous - "Golden Gate" - an architectural monument of national importance.

How to get there

Miklashevsky Manor is located in the village Volokytyne Putivlskoho area on all sides it is surrounded by forest. You can get to the village highway that runs from the district town Glukhov . Moving along the R44 highway, turn right to the village should Poker. From there, turn left and follow the road to the village Volokytyne.
