The picturesque Ukrainian village, located near the regional center has not lost its identity. It`s part of the glorious Ukrainian past the edge of the brave Cossacks. The inhabitants of the settlement have always been his piety. But for decades they had to do without the main spiritual refuge - the temple. And just a few years ago, justice has been done, and they regained the sanctuary - the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Ruined Temple

The stone church was built here in 1893. Then it was the heyday of the darling - more than one thousand inhabitants, a district school, twelve industrial and commercial three institutions. Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in great respect and in the surrounding villages.

But at one point, everything changed: surprising turns of history led to the overthrow of the king, the revolution, the Soviet authorities and forgotten churches. Abandoned building ancient temple decided to wipe out. And in the 60s of the last century it was destroyed. Only in the years of independence, when the men returned to the church, there was a question about the restoration of historical justice. But construction of the church took many years. In 2011 alone, its golden dome were able to shine on the blue river Southern Bug.

Spoiled child is 10 km from Nikolaev. The majestic temple is located at the entrance to the village - it is clearly seen from afar.

What to see

Speaking of the village there is an interesting legend. Ostensibly it was the founder of the Zaporizhzhya Cossack Yatsko darlings. Traveling through vast expanses of the southern steppes, he spotted a magical scenery: blue majestic river where splashing fish and dark green areas of reeds. Sticking his spear in the midst of lush green meadows, he remarked: "Being here now my house!". Do not believe? Then take a look at the grave of the very Zaporozhets, which is still preserved in the local cemetery. And to understand why the Cossack wanted to live here, walk down the street Quay, before you open stunning views of the Southern Bug. And do not be alarmed if you hear aircraft noise - near the international airport Nikolaev.
