Near Kazavchyna where flows the mighty Southern Buh, a small village Salome. Such an interesting name it owes the illegitimate daughter of Count Stanislaw Potocki Salome. The village has an interesting attraction - a water mill.

Salome, the daughter of the famous founder of the legendary "Sofiyivka", not terribly fond stepmother Sofia. A girl is in love and took over heels in park designer captain Ludwig Metzel. Why he liked it so - is unclear. It really was talented, but at the same time different terrifying ferocity.

Stanislav Potocki did not know what to do with a 16-year old girl. Nothing better not inventing, he sent her away from Uman, namely the estate near Khashchuvato.

Of course, always in the estate is not sitting. Rarely, but father naviduvala in Uman. But after the death of his stepmother did not want to see, and Salome at the threshold of his house.

When her beloved Ludwig went abroad, Salome decided to get married. Though she was 30, she found her husband quickly. He was a landowner from a neighboring village Solhutove - Mr. Mashynskyy.

Maybe it`s just a beautiful story. But one thing we know for sure - Salome loved this water mill. And the village was named after the wife Mashynskoho.

This mill on the banks of the Bug was built in the 18th century. Since then it more than once rebuilt. The mill is now running at times. However, its water wheel anyway - it works on an electric motor. The building is very well preserved to this day.
