Museum kryivka UPA, Gavarechchina

Havarechchyna known tourist village renowned historical museum-UPA secret places, located in a forest on the outskirts of the village. The museum has become a symbol of national dignity Ukrainian Insurgent Army. This institution was established on the sign honoring fallen heroes in the struggle for freedom of the Ukrainian people.

Havarechchyny and History Museum kryivka

One of the few places where preserved historical heritage, passed down from generation to generation, is Havarechchyna. Near the forest in a museum-Kryjivka UPA.

First Kryjivka served as a combat post, though occasionally there were meetings of the High Command of the UPA. She was in force during the period from November 1941 to February 1947. Later became the property of the family Kernytskoho where he and his wife of 15 November 1946, settled for doing advocacy. There preparing literary materials:

• substitutes bulletins trident;
• cards with the relevant text;
• other similar documentation.

On the night of February 18, 1947 Kryyivka caught the same day and died heroically marginal districts OUN assistant John Kernytskyy.

Today, thanks to the assistance of Zolochiv district administration around the historic site built memorial. Along with the secret places poured a symbolic grave, installed oak cross and a memorial table with the inscription.

The museum exhibition

The museum kryyivtsi-UPA contains unique exhibits of the liberation movement UPA, have made a significant contribution to the struggle for the independence of Ukraine. Saved some valuable documents anti-Soviet content. Visitors can feel the atmosphere due accurately recreated interior of the time.

Getting there

Museum Kryjivka UPA is on the outskirts of the village Havarechchyna that Zolochivschini. Get to Zolocheva possible by public transport or train from the city and from there local bus to get to Havarechchyny. Museum Kryyivka UPA can be visited by appointment.
