Belotserkovskii History Museum is not just a key element in the history and culture of the city , but also a powerful scientific and cultural center of the entire right bank of Kiev region.
History Belotserkovsky Museum of Local History
The museum was opened in 1924 on the initiative and with the active support of the historian and social activist S. Drozdov. The basis of the newly established museum collections were objects from the private collection of the scientist. It is located in the winter palace of the Counts Branicki. When the museum opened the library book fund which amounted to 7000 editions. Since 1927, the museum staff begin to lead an active field work. In just 3 years the number of items increased to 5,000 objects.
During the Second World War, the museum was looted. In Soviet times, Belotserkovsky History Museum was closed for renovation, which lasted about 5 years, but in 1983 he again opened its doors to visitors.
Since 2000 Belotserkovsky Museum is an important element in the scientific life of the whole Kyiv. At its base are constantly held a variety of local history readings, conferences, meetings and seminars, and exhibitions.

Today, the museum holds about 78 thousand. Items, which are divided into several thematic exhibitions: the nature of the region, archaeological past, the history of the Kiev region in different time periods. The jewel of the museum is a collection of Scythian sword. You can also see the unique Chernyakhovsky lamps, jewelry and weapons. Very popular exhibits since the Cossacks (mace weapons and characters). Pleasing to the eye large ethnographic collection, which has a collection of embroidered shirts, towels, household items and women`s jewelry.
The doors of the museum open to the public every day (except Wednesdays) from 10:00 to 18:00.
