The Odesa Academic Music Comedy Theatre
Odessa Academic Theatre has a long history that begins in Lviv . It was there in 1946, the company began to take shape, which subsequently toured throughout Ukraine. In 1950 the theater gave performances in Odessa , while the townspeople took troupe with great joy. However, in 1953 the theater underwent significant changes. By decision of the party Odessa Theater of the Soviet Army was sent to the city, and Musical Comedy Theater moved to Odessa.
Nowadays Odessa theater is named after the actor M. Merman, who for 40 years on the stage native Theater implemented the images of Odessa. The current building was built in 1981.
During the entire existence of the theater here has been shown 300 performances. Today, the theater performances give different directions musical genres including rock opera, which for several years had full houses.
