The Starosillia Local History Museum

Staroselie Village - one of the few in Cherkasy region, which boasts its own history museum that really deserves attention. On the outskirts of the village fortress was probably the time of Yaroslav the Wise, near the old bed of the Dnieper leak in the village originated p`yatysotennyy movement - similar Stakhanov movement in growing sugar beets.

Collection of the Museum of History Staroselie

The collection reflects in itself all the stages of historical development of the village. The collection is about 2,800 exhibits. Here are archaeological finds from Staroselie and surroundings - an old pottery, remains of medieval weapons, the way of life of local residents, artistic creations of local craftsmen.

However, the collection consists of artifacts foundation dedicated to the formation and development p`yatysotennoho movement in the country.

History museum

The museum was inaugurated in 1970 as the Museum of History p`yatysotennoho movement. Since 1985, the hospital received a new location - the old school building, where even now. The museum is a branch of the Cherkasy regional museum.
